Number 32: Germany, Denmark and finally Sweden!

July 2007

Hello!

I keep camping and staying in couchsurfers houses. This kind of trip works very well, by alternating confort and nature. Sometimes I fell like in a time machine, because in one day I am like in the old West, riding my "horse", sleeping under the stars, cooking on the fire. And in the day after I am back to the 21 century, with all the confort of a modern house! And how nice then are the small conforts of everyday life, like tap water, for example...

In the way to Bremen I stopped in a small village to rest and this nice german man came to talk with me... but he only was able to talk german! And I was happy because with my few words in Germany we were able to talk for more than 1 hour. In the end of the conversation he offered me a beer, that I accepted happly, was a warm day and I imagined that cold and refreshing german beer! But when he brought the 2 bottles I realised that he follow the german tradition, of drinking beer in the room temperature - the beer was warm! But as a polite guy I drunk everything, he was very nice anyway!

Andrea and Elise, the couchsurfers that hosted me in Hamburg. I was supposed to stay in another home, but when I arrived in the cuty and called the guy he said that he had to made a bussiness trip, then I was without couchsurf to stay. But I sent a last minute couch request and it works so well that 2 hours latter I was already on their house, and what would ne just one night becames a nice weekend!

Annelene, that offered to help me when everything was going wrong, I was fixing a flat tyre, covered by flies, and she sttoped her car and offered help. Sometimes is just like that, when everything looks as bad as possible someone seems that fell that you really need help. Thanks!

I did one week of couchsurfing in Bernardo's house, a brazilian that lives in Kopenhagen. Here we have on the back, me, Bernardo, his mum, that was visiting him, and a bunch of good friends!

Finally in Sweden! They have lots of nice places to camping, and its is even better because of the law "Alla man högert", "All men right", that allows you to cross, camp, pick berries even in private lands. Perfect for me!
