Number 31: From Netherlands to Germany
|
|
June 2007
Hello!
There are the photos from the Netherlands to Germany. I spent many days camping and also in friend's houses, both couchsurfers
and new friends that I met on my way. Always very nice and hospitable people!
Cheers!

Container's houses. I was astonished that there are people living in containers in the first world!

I did not pay camping sites, I prefer to find some bush and pitch my tent in. The problem is to find a bush in Holand!

Part of the cycle route. Sometimes is just necessary to have a small strip to ride the bike, and the sinalization, of course.

After crossing the huge north dique, 35 Km with the wind blowing against me, I reached the small village of Dronrijp. I was wondering where
pirch my tent when a gentleman sayd good afternoon in portuguese to me! Dirk, that is his name, is married with Elisa,
from Angola, and he invited me to spend the night on their home. We had a very nice conversation in portuguese, english and
also a musical conversation with drums! Ah, their dog is called Soba, that means tribal chief in Angola.

Sanne, the couchsurfer who hosted me in Groningen. She lives in an old catholic hospital that was squatted and transformed
in a student house. And they build a nice community there, with bars, a cinema, everything running with voluntary work!

Guaratinguetá in the weekends, to met friends, party, and have fun!

I found many of these small "self service shops", where the small farmers sells from potatos to flowers - you choose it and pay,
there are no one to take care of the shop...
