The CICLOVIDA´s main goal is to spread the use of ecological modes of transportation in touristic trips. The tourism
industry is one of the most importants nowadays, because its impacts on economics, social and environmental issues.
Then, an awareness about sustainable tourism are growing, to turn this industry in a lasting and environmental friendly one.
One of the biggest ecological worries are about the pollution caused by the tourist's locomotion. The Ciclovida have the
goal of spread the use of ecological modes of transports like bikes, sailing boats, horses, trekking, balloon, etc.
These modes of transports beyond not create pollution are an interesting way to know a new place, because they are closer
to human senses and speed. Using that we can fell the smells, ear the sounds because there are no motor noise, we use
more secundary roads then fast ones. The aim is not anymore to reach some point, is to enjoy the trip itself.
In vacation we are more open to new experiences, and this experiences are deeper. The Ciclovida's goal is to change the
tourist's awareness about ecological and social matters, and doing that change their own ways of life, like using more
bikes instead cars, recycling the trash, etc. One of the biggest problems of our days are the speed and the strees
caused by these. We consider to create a moviment called "Slow Travel". Slow down, smell, look, talk, touch. Don't worry, you are on vacations!
